OneStop Metal Recycling (Tas) Pty Ltd is a wholly Tasmanian owned and operated metal recycling and licensed demolition business.
The business was established in 2013 by Tony Dyke following the closure of OneSteel Recycling. OneStop’s 25 staff operate from purpose-built sites at Cooee and Glenorchy.
Tony Dyke is also the owner of AnD Logistics and has been involved in the metal recycling industry alongside Metalcorp, Smorgon Steel, OneSteel, Liberty Steel and InfraBuild since 1990.
With a combined 150 years plus of experience the OneStop team provides our customers with a safe and environmentally sustainable range of services for metal recycling and demolition.
We provide safe, efficient and environmentally sustainable metal recycling of all ferrous and non-ferrous metals. We pay cash for scrap to the general public and offer the option of EFT payment to businesses.
Our sites are equipped with certified 3 tonne capacity platform scales and 55 tonne weigh bridges to provide fast accurate weighing of your ferrous or non-ferrous scrap.
Our goal is to provide prompt efficient service in our yards or at your site.
OneStop Metal Recycling endeavour to provide a workplace that is free from risks to health and safety by implementing the highest possible standards to protect workers’ health, safety, mental and social wellbeing.
We have consulted with Work Safe Tasmania to ensure currency and relevancy in our policies, procedures and safety culture.
OneStop Metal Recycling recognise the importance of safety when collecting scrap metal from our customers’ work sites. We have safety systems in place to ensure we conduct our work safely, including the use of on-site hazard identification forms and JSA’s.
We work with businesses to ensure we comply with their safety standards, including following any training protocols, wearing relevant safety gear, and inducting staff and contractors engaged by us at the sites we attend.
Environmental Management
OneStop Metal Recycling strives for the efficient use of resources and endeavours to pursue a high standard of environmental management. We aim to prevent or minimise pollution both in our daily operations, and when planning one-off scrap metal collection services.
We operate our sites under an Environmental Protection Notice that monitors our compliance with the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994 (EMPCA).
OneStop Metal Recycling engage consultants to guide us as to best practice regarding environmental management and we are audited regularly by the Environmental Protection Agency.

What Happens to our Scrap Metal?
All OneStop Metal Recycling scrap steel is re-melted in Australia by InfraBuild Steel for use in Australian projects. The InfraBuild Steel Mill is located in Laverton, Victoria, and produces a range of new steel lines from the scrap we supply.
OneStop Metal Recycling receives all ferrous & non–ferrous purchases at our two Tasmanian sites and sorts, grades and further processes for sale.
OneStop Metal Recycling has two machines for compacting light gauge steel and car bodies into bales ready for shipping.
All ferrous grades are shipped to InfraBuild Recycling using shipping containers designed and built in collaboration with Team Global Express (formerly Toll Tasmania).
